Accountability Partners for Ascend

Ascend update 6/8/2026

Staying consistent with your habits is hard. Staying consistent when someone is watching? Much easier.

Today we shipped accountability partners for Ascend, the habit and recovery tracking app inside Asix.live. Here is what changed.

What Are Accountability Partners?

An accountability partner is someone you trust — a friend, family member, or coach — who checks in on your progress. Research consistently shows that having someone witness your goals dramatically increases the likelihood of following through.

Every habit in Ascend now has a dedicated partner slot. You invite someone by name and email. They start receiving weekly updates automatically. No app download required on their end.

How It Works

Open Ascend and go to Community, then Partners. Every habit is listed with its current partner status. Tap Add Partner, enter a name and email, and hit Save. You can also tap the handshake button directly on any habit row in the Dashboard — good habits, bad habits, completed or not.

Every Sunday at 9 AM, your partner automatically receives a progress email. It shows your overall weekly completion rate, a day-by-day breakdown of each habit, your current streak and personal best, and an encouragement message based on how your week went.

You can change or remove a partner at any time. Each habit can have its own partner.

Why This Matters for Recovery

Ascend was built for people working on addiction recovery and breaking bad habits. Accountability is one of the most cited factors in long-term recovery success. Having a real person receive a real email every week creates a social contract that pure self-tracking cannot replicate. This is not a notification. It is a relationship.

What Else Shipped

Recovery Certificates are now automatically generated when you hit 7, 14, 21, 30, 50, or 100-day streaks. We also shipped security improvements including input sanitization and auth hardening across the app.

Head to Community, then Partners in Ascend to add your first accountability partner today.
